Vita: | After four years in the Field Artillery, including command of Alpha Battery of the 7/11th in the 25th Inf Div, I left uniformed service to attend Boalt Hall School of Law at The University of California at Berkeley. After graduating in 1968, I became a member of the Calififornia Bar (with pro hoc vice admissions in numerous other states) and have continuously practiced for the past almost one-third of a century. I have devoted my efforts almost exclusively to the defense of the American aerospace industry airlines, manufacturers of engines, avionics, pilots, airframes, etc. They say that I have tried more 747 cases than anyone else; I know that I have lost the biggest one of all In Re Air Disaster at Lockerbie, Scotland, where I represented Pan American World Airways and all of the other defendants. Our son Clint is a lawyer in San Diego, recently married and doing quite well, thank you. Cathy (our daughter) is a professor of English in Ecuador at the University of Loja. Marty rides her horse, plays tennis, and serves in numerous eleemosynary capacities. I am moving to of counsel to my firm and will be fully retired-retired-retired in a couple years. Then, Marty and I shall continue to travel everywhere and I shall play my Martin D-45, teach, write, play with my computer, write plays, and act for the The Family (a gentlemens (?) club in San Francisco), work at church and at my other charitable organizations, etc. |
