Class of 1962 40th Reunion: May 25-28

Saturday May 25 was a check-in day for many of us. Sunday AM was filled
with golf, tours, etc. and at 1500 we rode out to Camp Buckner. The evening
included a Memorial Service and a dinner at Buckner. You can read a copy of the remarks that were delivered by Stu Sherard by following this link.

Monday the 27th was a relatively open day until the majority of us joined
the Hudson River Cruise to Manhattan. On the following morning we once
again rode back to West Point for the "Alumni March"; the Cadet
Parade was cancelled because of rain (Odin may or may not have been involved).
The balance of our time at West Point was spent with a lunch in Washington
Hall, a Class Meeting at Thayer Hall and then, for some of us, a trip
to the Dedication of the Caufield Boathouse.

The official end and perhpas the highlight of our visit was the Farewell
Banquet at the Marriott on Tuesday evening. Dave Phillips gave a terrific
summary of what we are doing and have done.  Chuck Dominy explained how we met and exceeded our Fundraising Goal.....this included a lot of drama that had been masked from most of  the Class. Ted Stroup closed the evening with an auction that was both
entertaining and profitable for our Class Fund.
