July 28: The Nephew of Bill White, Jay Nelson, has written a very touching story about Bill's contributions to "Team Evergreen" and what may become "The Bill White Challenge". Details here.
July 20: You may want to read "What is the worth of a West Point Class?". This is the document signed by George Kirschenbauer and forwarded to the Superintendent, Lt. Gen. Lennox. This is another document written by Dave Phillips.
June 27: Dave Phillips sent us the San Antonio Mini Reunion Account.
March 31: Dave Phillips has sent us the introduction made by George Kirschenbauer to President Kennedy on Graduation Day. George is introduced by General Westmoreland. You can listen to this by clicking here. Thanks to Dave for saving and forwarding this piece of history to us.
March 8: Wayne Downing is quoted in Newsweek as follows: "According to his former boss at the White House, Gen. Wayne Downing, "if anybody is smart and cunning enough to get [bin Laden], McRaven and the Delta and SEAL Team Six guys he now commands will do it." March 2: Jim Ryan has written a book which is billed as "THE NEW NOVEL ABOUT "TERROR" IN NEW YORK CITY DURING WORLD WAR I". You can read about it by clicking here.
February 13: Ivan Waggoner died on Tuesday, 3 February 2004, in Mesa, AZ. Cause of death was cancer related. He had been fighting the disease for over a year. Linda currently lives in Oceanside, CA, but is in the process of moving back to Mesa, AZ to be near her daughter, Lynnette. Ivan's memorial service will be at the Mountain View Memorial Gardens, 7900 E. Main Street in Mesa, Arizona (480.832.2850) on 20 February 2004 at 1530 hours, followed by a reception at the Arizona Golf Resort. Linda has requested that donations (in lieu of flowers) be sent to the Hospice of the Valley, 6063 E. Arbor Avenue, Mesa, Arizona 85206.

November 11: Required reading is the "Legend of The Box" as submitted by Ray Pendleton. Photos of the subject Box as well as Mini-Mini Reunion pictures will be posted here soon.
September 29: Paul McNamara has forwarded an Obit on Ron Zinn which you can read by going to the "In Memoriam" page.
September 23: Wayne Downing recently gave a talk at Kent State about Terrorism. His talk was well received by the audience and both Don Kauer and Ralph Burr (all three from H-2) attended the talk and dinner later in the evening at the Kauer residence. Wayne managed to convince Don to put on his "Tarbucket" for a photo.....all will no doubt notice that it definitely needs a fresh application of Brasso.
September 18: From the "Mini-Mini" last weekend......."We had a great reunion with 38 classmates and wives/girlfriends and know that you will get about a zillion pictures. Art Brown was presented the "Caddy Shack" trophy for the Shot of the Day...on the Par 3, 8th hole, he hit a line drive about 130 yards, that skipped three times over the water and rolled up on to the green! Tom and Sally Herre traveled the farthest...Racine, WI...narrowly beating out Roger Lee, from Leavenworth, KS" (Reports and hosting of the "Mini-Mini" courtesy of Tom Simcox and his team.) The Reunion was attended by "Our Supe", Gen Westmoreland. Photos will be posted as they arrive.
May 1: There is a terrific story about Wayne Downing and 1Lt Nye, '99 and their meeting in the outskirts of Baghdad. The report was written by Dave Phillips with the basic story provided by Justin Balding of NBC. This was scheduled to be in the latest copy of Assembly but is topical and should be of interest to all Classmates. Check it out here.
March 31: Gary Sharp has an interesting story to tell about his trip (adventure?) through some parts of the world that many of us know little about. He put his thoughts down in the appended e-mail to Scott McGurk. We thought that you might enjoy reading this as well as passing along your own tales of travel and/or adventure to share with Classmates. This is a good read! If you have your own information or insight that you think would be of interest to Classmates, please send them to your friendly Webhead.
February 20: "We have received some good stuff to include in Denny Reimer's Tribute Book for the Haig Award Ceremony at the WP Society of Philadelphia's Founder's Day Dinner on 28 March. More is better, so all of you who have served with Denny during his 37 years in a green 4-Button suit need to pick your brains, and send us your reminiscences and anecdotes. Photos and other documents are great, but send stuff you don't need back. The Drop Dead date for the printer is 3 March 2003. February 6: Denny Reimer has been selected to receive the 2003 GEN Alexander Haig, Jr. Award at the West Point Society of Philadelphia's Founder's Day dinner on March 28, 2003. Details here.
January 29: Dave Phillips has sent a photo which Members of '62 should enjoy viewing. The Classmate who can identify the largest number of Cadets as well as the year that the photo was taken will be treated to a superb meal in a local restaurant which Dave feels rates at least two stars.
