GRAD RESULTS FOR 2007
This 19th annual USMA Golfing Grads was held this year, 26-29
April, at the Amelia Island Plantation. A super time was had by all
especially the class of 1962. The '62 38 man-team was victorious in the
overall Class competition. '62 had 61.5 points, followed by '63 with 49
points, 64 with 32 points and '66 with 27 points. Individual winners are
shown below:
First Day- 4-Man Scramble
1st place-Ron Stock and Bill Dworsak who teamed with two
members of the class of 1971
Second Day-Two Man Scramble( 9 holes)/Best Ball (9 holes)
2d Place-Larry Gunderman and Nick Cantrell (Gunderman's
Son-in-law)
8th Place-Ty Cobb and John Godwin
10th Place-Jeff Alt and Chuck Dominy
Third Day-Individual Competition , Gross and Net
Gross Winners
7th Place-Steve Arnold
10th Place (tie)-Ralph Burr and Nick Cantrell
Net Winners
1st Place-Jim Harrington
2d Place-Tom Middaugh
4th Place-Ron Stock
8th Place-Tom Kling
10th Place-Barry Thomas
In addition to the Award banquet where the "Can Do" Class was
named the overall winner, the other prominent highlight of the event was the
Class Dinner which was hosted by Mike Grebe at his Amelia Island house. All
members of the team thank Mike for his gracious hospitality.
Next year's event location has not yet been determined but it
is highly likely it will be back at Amelia Island. In any case, mark your
calendars for the last weekend in April 2008 and I will get all the detailed
