The Parrot’s Forecast for Year 2007

Internationally recognized traveler and oracle, Incognito, issues his forecast for the 2007 year.  Although highly accurate in the past, The Parrot’s Forecast is not guaranteed. The Parrot was exceptionally accurate with financial forecasts for 2006, had acceptable forecasts for sports, and was all over his cage with forecasts of political events.  Followers of The Parrot’s Forcast are cautioned not to make monetary decisions based upon the views of a stuffed bird.

1.      Iraq will continue to have a weak but functioning central government that will be dominated by Shiites.  Sunnis will continue to attack the government and its soldiers and police.  US Troop levels will be less at the end of 2007 than at this time in 2006.

2.      Hillary Clinton will emerge during 2007 as the most likely nominee by the Democratic Party for its Presidential Campaign in 2008.

3.      The Dow Jones Industrial Average will continue its current rise during the first part of 2007, but turn downward later in the year.

4.      Gasoline prices for consumers will rise throughout 2007.

5.      Army will win its game with Air Force Academy.  Army will have another close game with Navy; the final score not being predictable.

6.      The Indianapolis Colts will enter the Super Bowl as the AFC Champion.

Update of July 16, 2007 -The Parrot’s Forecast for Year 2007

Internationally recognized traveler and oracle, Incognito, issued his forecast for the 2007 year in December 2006.  This is a mid-year update, or guidance provided to the Parrot’s followers.  Followers of The Parrot’s Forecast are cautioned not to make monetary decisions based upon the views of a stuffed bird.                                                          

1.      Iraq will continue to have a weak but functioning central government that will be dominated by Shiites.  Sunnis will continue to attack the government and its soldiers and police.  US Troop levels will be less at the end of 2007 than at the end of 2006.  The Parrot sticks with this forecast. Comment - This is a tough one. The Parrot may know something..  See next item.

2.      Hillary Clinton will emerge during 2007 as the most likely nominee by the Democratic Party for its Presidential Campaign in 2008.  The Parrot is wavering.  The Parrot only gets a B for this one to date.  Obama is looking very strong with fund raising, etc.  Hillary could  regain her momentum.

3.      The Dow Jones Industrial Average will continue its current rise during the first part of 2007, but turn downward later in the year.  The Parrot accepts an A for his extremely accurate forecast for the first half of this year.  The Parrot believes that the projected downward turn will be a few months late, but continue into 2008.  Wow, it is hard to project a downturn with the DJIA moving happily north, but be careful.

4.      Gasoline prices for consumers will rise throughout 2007.  The Parrot accepts an A for this forecast to this day.  The Parrot sticks with his forecast.  Maybe we should all buy a hybrid or the new Mercedes diesel.

5.      Army will win its game with Air Force Academy.  Army will have another close game with Navy; the final score not being predictable.  The Parrot sticks with these forecasts.

6.      The Indianapolis Colts will enter the Super Bowl as the AFC Champion. The Parrot accepts an A+ for this very accurate forecast.  The Colts added to the Parrot’s credibility with their victory in the Super Bowl.
