» GRADUATED CLASS SUPPORT SERVICES
Assistance with any of the following services can be initiated by
simply making a telephone call or sending a FAX or an e-mail message.
- Rosters. Rosters of graduates, ex-cadets, widows, and individuals affiliated with a specific class, as well as Class Officer rosters, can be provided. These lists can be used for reunion planning, maintaining accuracy of the database, solicitations for class gifts, dues collecting, etc. This information may not be used for political or commercial solicitation, or for any purpose other than official Class, West Point Society, USMA, or AOG use. Classes are encouraged to monitor the lost classmates section of the AOG web site by clicking on Alumni Support, then Class Pages, and then Lost Grads Lists. Updated information can be communicated by telephone, e-mail, or mail ( see ADDRESS CHANGES ).
- Reconciliation of Class and AOG Alumni Databases. This will help ensure the most accurate and up-to-date database. As classes become more confident that the AOG database has a high level of accuracy and provide address changes, they will be able to save the time and money necessary to maintain a separate database.
- Printing and Mailing Support. For newsletters, reunion mailings, fund solicitations, memorial services, etc. ( See MAILING SUPPORT ). This includes typing from rough drafts, adding logos to letterhead, designing forms, etc., or working from final hard copy or attached e-mail files.
- Assistance in Establishing Administrative Funds. This includes providing the document for signature and initiating
the administrative fund ( see ADMIN FUNDS ).
- Class Constitution Support. In addition to the working copy provided in Section 2 of this handbook, copies of constitutions from other classes can be provided. In addition, support can be provided to prepare and print amendments for distribution to classmates and any other related copy or printing requirements.
- Class Files and Archives. We maintain a file for each class which can be determined by the class leadership to be the official Class archive file. The determination of content of those files is open for suggestion/recommendation by class officers. Cullum files also are maintained ( see CLASS / CULLUM FILES ).
- Conference Calls. You can now schedule conference calls through the AOG. Calls are limited to no more than 100 participants at a cost of $0.10 per minute per participant (as of 1/2006). Each participant will be provided with a toll free call-in number and the pass code. When a participant calls in, he/she will be prompted to enter the pass code before being connected to the call.
To schedule a conference call please contact Nicole Corbin at 1-800-232-4723, ext. 1513 or send her an e-mail at Nicole.Corbin@usma.edu or Jo Ann Shipley at 1-800-232-4723 ext 1538 or by email at joann.shipley@usma.edu. Autherization from your class president or treasurer is needed to bill your class admin or gift fund (email verification will suffice).

- Establishing Web Pages. We can establish and maintain your class page or set it up so that your class webmaster has direct access to our server.
- Assistance in Finding Classmates. In addition to our graduate database, the AOG will attempt other means of locating classmates after all normal attempts have been unsuccessful (e.g., people search on the internet, checking with Post Offices, telephone information service, etc.). Archival records available at the AOG can be a source of such a search and, under some circumstances, we can obtain assistance from the Army’s database for those on active duty. ( See new services offered to find lost classmates in REUNION PLANNING. )
- Preparation of Memorial Article / Obituary. Information is provided in MEMORIALS / BURIALS. A pamphlet entitled Guidelines for Writers of Memorial Articles can be obtained by calling the Memorial Articles Editor at 800 232-4723, ext. 1519, or sending an e-mail message to her at memorials@aogusma.org.
- Perpetual Flowers Program. ( See MEMORIALS / BURIALS. )
