Summary of Changes to this Handbook
Introduction

AOG Crest

This handbook was compiled and edited by Anthony (Tony) P. Ferraiuolo, Hon. '61.

(Updated in January 2006. On-line updates will be made as necessary throughout the year.)

The web version of the handbook is made possible by funding from the Long Gray Line Endowment. Tax-deductible donations to the Endowment can be made at http://www.aogusma.org/wpf or by calling 1-800-232-4723 ext. 1658.

While joined in a very special way through the Long Gray Line, each United States Military Academy class is autonomous. Most have their own Constitution and By-laws and each is governed independently of other classes. Yet, there is a special connection between classes and their alumni organization, the Association of Graduates of the United States Military Academy.

United States Military Academy classes and the Association of Graduates have the common purpose of furthering public understanding and support for the United States Military Academy. Each does this by providing organizations through which graduates, former cadets, widows/widowers, and, in many instances, other friends of West Point may associate to foster the Academy’s aims, ideals, standards, and achievements.

This handbook is dedicated to you, the leaders of the graduated classes of the United States Military Academy. It is written to provide you with information to assist you with the tremendous job that you are doing in providing leadership and direction to your class. It is provided to you by the Alumni Support Committee of the Board of Trustees, Association of Graduates.

Purpose

This handbook is intended to serve as a guide for the leaders of graduated classes of the United States Military Academy. The handbook contains information relevant to all United States Military Academy classes and is intended to be a living document which will be revised annually.
