responsibility of the Director of Alumni Affairs who works for the

Dates for Graduation Week
Alumni Activities for the next several years are as follows: May 21–24, 2006, and May 20–23, 2007.
Reunions taking place during Graduation Week will feature three days
of alumni activities during the beginning of the week. The latter part
of the week is reserved for the activities of families and friends of the
graduating class. Reunion activities during Homecoming take place on a home football weekend. Other reunions scheduled in the fall will also normally take place on a home football weekend. Typical alumni schedules
for these periods are provided in “REUNION PLANNING.”
Class Aides. Three Aides will be assigned to each Fall reunion class. Four Aides will be assigned to the Spring reunion classes. If the class is staying off-post, a room for the Aides should be provided. Normally this can be provided from one of the gratuitous rooms provided by the hotel. Class Aide responsibilities are outlined in “REUNION PLANNING.”
Billeting. In accordance with USMA policy, priority for use
of the Hotel Thayer on Sunday through Thursday nights of graduation
week will be afforded to senior reunion classes in the order of seniority.
All hotel and motel reservations, including those for the Hotel Thayer,
must be made by the individual or class organization directly to its hotel
or motel. Reservations at the Hotel Thayer must be made as far in advance
as possible, preferably by 1 January of the year of the reunion.
Alumni Functions. Tickets are required for the Alumni Dinner
Dance (if scheduled) and the Alumni Luncheon. Times, places, and costs will be provided
to you in your individual class reunion mailings. Collection of funds for
these events and any others where there is a cost are the responsibility
of the Class Reunion Chairman.
Party Facilities and Catering. Senior classes will have preference
for party facilities. Each class should make its own arrangements for catering.
A list of available party facilities and potential caterers can be found
in “REUNION PLANNING.” Class Aides will be of assistance in making arrangements.
Transportation. The Military Academy will provide bus support
for those classes staying at the Hotel Thayer. No USMA transportation is
authorized to off-post locations. Information on bus companies can be found in “REUNION PLANNING.”
Reunion Class Requirements. Reunion Class Officers should keep the Director of
Alumni Affairs (Vince McDermott) informed of class reunion activities
both on and off-post. It also is requested that a copy of all class
reunion letters be sent to him prior to publication and dispatch.
Joel Jebb '82, Director, Class Support Program, can provide
mailing support. It is requested that no more than two persons on
the class reunion committee coordinate with the Academy to help
eliminate any possible confusion.
