First Lieutenant Todd Jason Bryant was born on 14 January 1980 in Long Beach, California. He enlisted in the Army Reserve  as an Administrative Specialist in 1997 and completed Basic Training at Fort Sill, Oklahoma prior to his senior year in high school. Todd’s high school activities included  playing Tuba  in the marching band, varsity football, varsity golf, Master Counselor of Riverside Chapter of DeMolay, and California Boy's State.  After graduation from La Canada High School in 1998, Todd entered the United States Military Academy at West Point, NY.  He was a member of the Cadet Protestant Choir, and played intramural football, and rugby. He marched with the Bicentennial Class of 2002 in the Rose Parade on New Year's Day 2002. He graduated from West Point with a degree in Political Science on 1 June 2002 and was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant of Armor. Todd attended the Armor Officer's Basic Course  at Fort Knox, Kentucky, graduating in December 2002. He reported to Fort Riley, Kansas in January 2003 and was initially assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 1st. Battalion 34th Armor where he served as an Assistant Operations Officer. In April of 2003, Todd was reassigned to C Company, 1-34 AR where he assumed duties as Platoon Leader, 3rd Platoon. On 30 August 2003, Todd and Jenifer Reardon were united in marriage in Pittston, Pennsylvania.  Todd deployed with his unit in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom on 9 September 2003 and was killed in action on 31 October 2003 while on patrol.

1LT Todd Bryant's awards include the Bronze Star, Purple Heart, Meritorious Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal and the Army Service Ribbon. He was promoted to 1LT on 30 October 2003.  

1LT Todd Bryant is survived by his wife, Jenifer, his parents, Larry and Linda Bryant, his brother Major Timothy Bryant, USMC, and his sister, Tiffany Bryant, '00.
