Final Plenary Session

The final, hour-long gathering of attendees began with the Chairman's noting that this was the last Leaders' Conference for AOG President Seth Hudgins '64, who had announced that he would retire at the end of 2006. Invited to make a few remarks, Hudgins went to the podium and did so. Reflecting on his fourteen years in the position of President, he said that the AOG's successes under his leadership resulted from his surrounding himself with good people.

Following Hudgins' remarks, Grace Williamson, the Director of Organizational Support, and Joel Jebb '82, the Director of Class Support, reported on their break-out sessions. Notes on those sessions are available elsewhere in these proceedings.

The plenary session concluded with the Chairman and the Vice President for Alumni Support soliciting comments and suggestions form the audience. Among other things, attendees suggested that there be more cadet participation in the Conference and asked that a new facilities tour, which had been an optional activity in 2005, again be made part of the program.
