USMA 1950
Prostate Cancer Support Group

Prostate cancer is rapidly becoming an expected event for men in our age group. Any discussion of this subject during class luncheons brings out a dozen names of those who have been there and can provide useful information or counseling.

Tom Austin has been the gatekeeper of this group for some years. Now we would like to expand this informal network to all classmates who have either experienced some form of treatment for prostate cancer or are suddenly faced with their own critical decisions concerning this disease.

The plan is to maintain a list of classmates who are survivors of prostate cancer and who are willing to talk to other classmates about their experience. If you would like to participate, please notify Larry Jackley: (703) 360-6636, LJackley@cox.net.

If you have been diagnosed with prostate cancer and would like to talk to classmates in this support group, contact either Tom or Larry to obtain the list. That’s it. Classmates helping classmates.

This web page will be a permanent section of our web site. We will send out a quarterly reminder in our batch e-mailings, and Bill DeGraf periodically will post a reminder in the Assembly.
