Cruise-o-Gram #2

Greetings Cruising Classmates,

Only 14 months until we sail down the Danube (5-12 October, 2008)!

By now you should have received an information packet by snail mail from Worldtek, our travel representative.  If you have not received it, please contact Ms. Elma Korzick ASAP by email at e.korzick@worldtek.com or call her at (1-800) 243-1723.

Today’s Cruise-o-Gram #2 is all about reminding you that the second of the five payments to charter the Viking River Cruise Ship Europe will be due to Worldtek NLT 6 September 2007, in that they will be able to make this payment to Viking on time. So, check your mail box, for shortly after 13 August, you’ll be receiving a snail mail invoice from Worldtek.  Look for it!

From your friendly Cruise Committee, here’s a heads up for payment #3. It is the largest of the five payments and will be due in the December Holiday period.  Be sure to plan ahead; don’t get caught short in making that deadline!

Stay in touch by visiting the Class of ‘61 2008 River Cruise Mini-reunion web site which is continually updated with all the latest cruise info, itinerary, life on the river, and those extended stay opportunities. The web site is at http://www.aogusma.org/Class/1961/2008VikingRiverCruise.htm

If you have not already done so, be sure to check out your Worldtek information letter on how to set up an extended stay in Prague before the cruise and/or Budapest afterwards. There is also information at the Class web site.  Ms. Korzick needs to hear from you to provide you more poop and to sign you up if interested.

It is not too soon to begin putting your thoughts together on air fares.  Although for practical purposes mid-October is the start date for this activity, you might want to check out your air miles for possible use in support of the cruise.

Finally, The Viking River Cruise “Policy Statement: Guests with Special Needs”, asks your special attention for you may need to take some action on your part.   It is on the Class River Cruise web site as well.

Remember: There’s no place like the Danube River in the fall of 2008!

Be There!

Your Cruise Committee
