Airports:
If you arrive by commercial air, you will probably land at Newark International Airport, JFK International, LaGuardia Airport (both in NYC), or Philadelphia International Airport. Most flights will be to Newark, as it is the closest.
At Newark International Airport, there are assistance and information booths at each terminal. A Military Assistance Office on the 3rd floor of the Pan American Terminal is open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. This office can be contacted at DSN 232-4303 or (718) 244-1096.
At JFK International Airport, a USO office for incoming CONUS flights is located in the Pan American terminal. This office can be contacted at (718) 656-4616.
Ground Transportation:
Buses or taxis from Newark International Airport can be taken to Penn Station-Newark where you can take a NJ Transit train to Monmouth County. Take the Shore Points Line to Little Silver train station. This is the closest stop to Fort Monmouth. Phones are available to call a taxi from this station to Fort Monmouth. There are also shuttle services from Newark International Airport directly to Fort Monmouth. These services are a little more expensive, but much faster. Shuttle information is available at any information desk at Newark International.
From JFK and LaGuardia airports, buses run to the Port Authority Terminal in New York City, where buses to Fort Monmouth are available. Call Asbury Park - New York Transit Corp. at (908) 291-1300 or 774-2727 for bus schedules and information. NJ Transit trains to Monmouth County can be taken from Penn Station-New York. Take the Shore Points Line to Little Silver train station. This is the closest stop to Fort Monmouth. Phones are available to call a taxi from this station to Fort Monmouth.

Driving To Fort Monmouth:
When leaving Newark International Airport, follow the signs to New Jersey Turnpike. Get off at turnpike exit 11, which leads to the Garden State Parkway.
Take the Garden State Parkway south to exit 105 - Eatontown. After the toll plaza, bear right and take the jug handle that swings north onto Hope Road. At the 3rd light, turn right onto Tinton Avenue (Rt. 537) and continue to the end of Tinton Ave. Tinton Ave. ends at the entrance to Fort Monmouth. Depending on the current THREATCON level, you may re-routed to a different gate.
From the gates, signs will be posted leading to USMAPS.
On-Post Guest Housing:
Reservations are accepted up to seven days in advance. Current rates for an unofficial visit to active military personnel are $57 for a single occupancy and $59 for a double occupancy.
